Cleaning Checklist

Kitchen

Clean appliances, counters, cabinets, table, and chairs.
Clean, scrub, and sanitize sinks, countertops, and backsplashes.
Clean range top and wipe inside of oven, make sure aluminum in bottom.
Clean appliance exteriors, including the inside of toaster and coffee maker.
Clean inside and outside of refrigerator and microwave oven.
All food left to be disposed of.
Sweep and mop floor.
Take out trash and replace bag
Empty dishwasher and organize cupboards.
Check cupboards and silverware for cleanliness.
Put out two clean dishtowels, and a new dish rag.
Ensure that windows are closed and locked.
Shut blinds.
Clean Trash can completely and lid

 

Living Room

Clean, dust, and vacuum.
Dust window sills and ledges.
Dust furniture, blinds, picture frames, knickknacks, ceiling fans, and lamps.
Vacuum under couch seat cushions.
Check sofa bed for dirty sheets; remove, wash and replace with clean sheets.
Wash windows on door walls.
Organize coffee table literature.
Ensure that computer and monitor are powered off.
Ensure that cordless phone is on charger.
Ensure that TV, stereo, and DVD Player are powered off.
Ensure that board games are organized and put away.
Clean mirror on staircase wall.
Ensure that windows/door walls are closed and locked.
Shut blinds.
Make sure futons are functional

Bathrooms

Clean, scrub, and sanitize shower, vanities, sinks, and backsplashes.
Clean mirrors.
Clean and sanitize toilets.
Clean walls near toilet
Sweep and mop floors.
Empty waste baskets
Replenish liquid hand soaps.
Ensure that linen closets are neat and organized.
Hang a hand and bath towel along with washcloth
Ensure that windows are closed and locked.
Make sure plunger and toilet brush are clean
Shut blinds.

Bedrooms

Ensure that all beds used have their linens stripped and replaced. (one complete change on site, bag up used and launder to return)
Vacuum carpets.
Ensure TV is powered off.
Ensure closets are empty from previous guest’s belongings. (Notify owner if anything is left behind.)
Ensure that windows/door walls are closed and locked.
Shut Blinds.

 

Other Areas

Ensure that washer / dryer are empty; clean out lint trap.
Wash all towels used. (there should be enough on site for next renters even if we take half)
Check light bulbs, change if necessary.
Sweep deck.
Ensure that barbeque grill / grilling utensils are clean.
Ensure that doors to shed are closed.
Walk property and take note of anything out of place.
Ensure that two canoes and one row boat / with oars are present and not damaged.
Notify owner immediately if you notice any damages, missing items, or if the place was left excessively dirty.
Fans and ceiling fixtures cleaned
Switch plates cleaned
Door handles cleaned
All entry way doors cleaned inside and out
All lake view windows cleaned
Restock supplies as needed, owner will provide
Ceiling Fan and fixtures cleaned
Ensure no cobwebs
Ensure baseboards clean and dust free
Make sure trash is put away and not overflowing.
Keep an eye on salt level for softener
